Taylor Swift U-turn will see new album appear on Apple Music after all

Just six months after a very public spat with Apple Music over its royalty payments policy singer Taylor Swift has pulled an about turn and agreed to stream her 1989 tour film exclusively on the platform.

The Swift change from foe to friend comes after the singer lambasted Apple’s ‘shocking’ and ‘disappointing’ stance on musicians royalties back in June.

This saw the singer withhold her 1989 album from Apple Music during its three month trial period after Apple said it would not pay royalties to rightsholders.

Now apparently having mellowed to coincide with her 26th birthday Swift tweeted the shift in a birthday message from her official Twitter account.

Subsequent to the ruckus Apple agreed to pay royalties to music labels and publishers after all.
