'Game Of Thrones' Season 6 Spoilers: Alfie Allen Says Theon Still Feels Loyalty To The Starks

Despite betraying Robb Stark (Richard Madden) and attacking Winterfell in season 2 of "Game of Thrones," Alfie Allen thinks that his character Theon Greyjoy, a.k.a. Reek, still feels loyalty to the Starks.

"I think he's one of the most human characters on the show in the fact that he makes mistakes all the time and that's a universal theme in anyone's life," Allen told The West Australian of his character. "We all make mistakes."

"I personally don't see the choices that he makes as evil, I just see [him] as seriously misguided," added the 29-year-old actor of Theon, who he thinks -- just like Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) -- wants to earn his father's respect.

"They're both just looking for the approval of their fathers basically and they've had very, very hard upbringings," Allen said of Theon and Ramsay.

Allen admitted that Theon regrets betraying the Starks and so he's trying to correct all the horrible things that he has done by helping Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) escape from his sadistic husband, Ramsay.

"[Theon's] worried about her being in danger as much as himself," Allen said. "He definitely has some sort of link there still in his mind, some sort of connection there, and I think obviously that part of him that is Theon feels he needs to make good on the bad things that he's done."

"Going forward, I'll be honest, it might get darker but it will still be just as interesting, without a doubt," he teased.

Allen previously revealed that the Greyjoy's presence will be felt more in the upcoming season 6 of the hit HBO series.

"We've got an actor called Pilou Asbæk from a show called 'Borgen' and he plays my uncle," Allen told The New Daily.
Asbæk portrays the role of Euron Greyjoy -- Balon Greyjoy's (Patrick Malahide) eldest younger brother, making him an uncle to Theon and Yara (Gemma Whelan).

Allen also told The New Daily that fans should also watch out for an epic moment at the end of season 6.

"In terms of epicness, yes, there's definitely something towards the end of the season which is going to blow people's minds. You're going to love it," he said, before adding that more characters will cross path next season.

"[In season 5] there was a running theme of characters you wouldn't expect to cross paths crossing paths so there's more of that," he teased.
